"Service to All Life with Grace Through All Philosophies"

The Philosophy of the National InterFaith Council Campaigns

Our goal here at the Council is not to be a political avenue, nor preach in any fashion, nor are we looking to gain notoriety for our membership.  As stated on our website we are a "think tank" creating, by our gatherings whether in person or in thought, higher thoughts to serve others, while serving others.  One of our ideals is to bring a higher level of understanding and respect for all life ~ through all philosophies.

As such, we have thought deeply about having this page at all, knowing it may offend some as well as inspire others.  And the thought of inspiration outweighed the fear of offending.

The campaigns that we will post here will be ones that I personally believe in ~ however, that is not to say that you as a member, or even one of our website visitors ~ need to, or should necessarily subscribe to.  I am merely making these ideas available as a reminder.  Of what, you might ask?

Of your eternal flame ~ your inordinately beautiful spirit ~ that may long to express itself in some manner.

A good friend of mine, while chatting about "campaigns" lamented that she was "only one person, so what good can I do?"  And she told me that she does nothing, because it won't make a difference.

No one is ever asked to change the world, are they?  I don't think so.  And, of course, I know I myself may or may not ever make a difference that I will see or know about.  But, as I wrote in the Spring 2009 Edition of the Quarterly about sending good thoughts to our politicians ~ just even thinking those positive thoughts about facilitating change ~ makes all the difference in the world.

I think we have become too used to the idea of Jesus performing miracles (and I'm just using Him as an example, not a religious statement) ~ miracles that He and others around him, could immediately see.  I believe that miracles happen all the time ~ we just don't necessarily see them because we are not trained like Jesus was to see them, and therefore we assume they don't happen because we as individuals don't or can't make a difference.

So, feel free to take the time to read about our campaigns, and possibly think a good thought about them.  And think a good thought about other campaigns that are important to you.  That is the purpose of this section ~ to inspire you ~ to think your good thoughts ~ about what change you may want to create!

That's when the world begins to change ~ with one good thought ~ from just one person!
And that's when miracles happen.

Pax!
