Best Friends is working with you -- and with humane groups all across the country -- to bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets. The sanctuary, at the heart of Southern Utah's Golden Circle of national parks, is home, on any given day, to about 1,500 dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds and other animals.
In our home state, Best Friends manages a model No More Homeless Pets campaign with shelters and humane groups statewide to ensure that every healthy dog or cat that's ever born can be guaranteed a loving home. And Best Friends reaches across the nation, helping humane groups, individual people, and entire communities to set up spay/neuter, shelter, foster, and adoption programs in their own neighborhoods, cities, and states.
The mission of Best Friends is driven by the simple philosophy that kindness to animals helps build a better world for all of us. And the work of Best Friends is supported entirely through the donations of our members and supporters. Through the generous hearts and hands of people like you, we can ensure that animals who come into the care of Best Friends will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain.

Safe Haven for Animals was started in late 2004 as a non-profit, no kill animal shelter. Our wish being that as many animals as possible may know a safe and happy home rather than an untimely demise. We have no time limit on an animal's stay with us. Euthanasia is only used as a last resort, when an animal's health condition is beyond improvement. Our purpose, quite simply, is to save animals' lives. But our joy lies in bringing animal and person together in adoption. WildHorse Ranch Rescue ~ Gilbert AZ ~
WildHorse Ranch Rescue is dedicated to saving horses from abuse, neglect, slaughter and premature death by providing a safe haven for life. WHRR has also created the haven of Kitty City™ ~ providing a safe home for spayed and neutered cats, taken in from cat rescue organizations in the Phoenix area.
WHRR was founded in 1995 by Kim Meagher, who began rescuing horses privately upon hearing of the plight of homeless horses, and horses going to slaughter. In 2000, WHRR became a registered 501(c)3 organization, and along with the help of many others, has been able to save many horses from abuse, neglect and death.
