Welcome to the National InterFaith Council website!
First, let me say, that the NIC does not preach, nor tell others what they should do. Rather, we provide an avenue, or set of avenues for our members to express their highest thoughts, their most important dreams ~ through our annual conference, our e-mails, and our magazine.
Think about this. We are surrounded, and bombarded by negative images, sound-bytes, and news reports almost every moment of every day. You may not think all that negative energy has an effect on you, but it eventually does. That less-than-positive energy surrounding us eventually begins to drain our energy to stay focused on our goals, which are our highest, most positive thoughts. Here at the NIC, through our membership we support your highest thoughts, your work ~ which in turn will make our small planet a more positive place to live, play, work, and interact together.
Each of us works hard everyday to be the best we can be. Sometimes, however, we forget that highest part of ourselves, in the day-to-day "everyday-ness" of life. Here at the NIC we remind you of your highest self ~ your most positive self ~ with our products, services, and our membership. We are one of the fastest growing organizations across the U.S. supporting "you." One person at a time ~ "one thought=one step" ~ this is how positive change occurs.
I had a friend years ago, who lamented (as I wrote in one of my previous articles), who complained that she was only one person and couldn't make a difference, so she did nothing at all. I don't believe that no one makes a difference! We ALL make a difference! Each and every one of us. And, that is the philosophy of the NIC.
