“Angels to the Homeless” (Video coming soon) makes and delivers sandwiches, water ~ and recently added clothing, shoes and now blankets which are really needed now that the cold weather is approaching.
Beginning in October 2008, Bob & Irene Simonetti have made and delivered over 3,000 sandwiches and passed out over 100 cases of water to the needy on the streets of the Phoenix area. This is done each month since that inception. And, on November 21, 2009 they made 350 sandwiches and water, to deliver on Sunday Nov. 22nd starting at 9:00 AM in front of the homeless shelter and they delivered all of that to those in need.

For December 2009, Bob & Irene planned to organize "Christmas for the Homeless" with the products being delivered on Sunday December 20th. With the help of a number of volunteers, their goals were realized. Several hundred homeless were provided with food, blankets, and personal hygiene products ~ all donated from folks like you reading this article.
Their ministry has grown from just Irene and Bob to over 40 wonderful people taking part and helping, through volunteering of their time, and it keeps growing. Because Irene and Bob started as a "mom & pop" organization, at this point they are not currently a 501C organization. Because they have expanded, they are looking into this and hope they can become associated with an established organization due to applying for a 501 can take up to a year or two to establish. What a wonderful way to "Pay it forward and truly make a difference". As many of you may already know, it is VERY humbling to give to the homeless from all walks of life. They are very appreciative and thankful for our help.
